Contract Law for Better Management of Commercial Contracts and Projects

Do you create and manage commercial contracts? Do you know your responsibilities and legal obligations when you sign on the dotted line? Do you know the legal framework and legal ramifications of the commercial agreement that you are signing? Do you know what you need to look out for? This course demystifies contract law and commercial contracts. It focuses on the key contract law issues relating to the drafting, managing and interpretation of contracts. It will also consider issues of exchange, signing, filing, and retention of contracts and variations, as well as ways to reduce disputes. The ‘fine print’ terms are also considered. Other key laws that affect contracts are also covered, including agency (who can bind the firm), negligence (law of duties), trade practices (misleading and deceptive conduct and agreements that reduce competition), insurance, intellectual property and tenders. Irrespective of the duration each course will have a practical activity so that the learnings can be applied the very next day at work.
